Natural-process coffee from Baan San Charoen of Doi Suanyaluang in Nan Province comes equipped with a high level of natural sweetness that you will sure be able to experience from the very first sip until the very last lingering bit of the coffee’s long lasting aftertaste. Because of the natural drying process, the bean distinctively contains Thai tropical fruit notes such as those of jackfruit and sun-dried banana, while also giving a slight winey aroma. The coffee trees are located at 1,400-1,500 meters above sea level, and the varietals are concretely segregated both during the planting and the harvesting processes. Each type of coffee is separately and carefully processed by small lots, which result in spectacular result unique to each kind. Green beans from Doi Duanyaluang are light roasted to maintain the highest level of their own intrinsic characters. We would like to first and foremost recommend this coffee to be made black, without any sweetener, as it will best present to you the natural fruity sweetness in a cup that is no less flavorful than any other imported cup.

About Wela Coffee Roaster

Our brand, ‘Wela’ comes from a Thai word meaning ‘Time’. As we believe that every process from beans to cup is about “time”.  It is one of the most important factor that have an effect on coffee aroma and flavour, and just a few seconds can change everything.

We are dedicated to roast coffee meticulously with our green beans selection and delivery time to our customer since we would really love to be a part of creating your precious time to savor each and every cup.  It all started from how we love to drink coffee every single day, which makes us wonder why some coffee taste more bitter than others, while other coffee tastes more like a fruit, flower, nut or chocolate.

And the more time we spend educating ourselves about coffee, the more we discover how complex coffee making is from planting to brewing. We’ve learnt that great-tasting coffee must be derived from the chain of people involved in the quality of beans, to brewing.

That is why we seized every opportunity we had to study the art of coffee making, from green beans selection, cupping, roasting and brewing.
Every time we roast, we pay special attention to the quality of coffee. That’s the reason we have Q Arabica Grader who tastes and tests the quality of coffee from our green beans selection to the taste coffee post-roast adhering to the world standard to make sure our coffee keeps getting better and better.

Today we are a small roaster in Bangkok that is ready to deliver specialty coffee locally. We roast our coffee with love and passion so that our customers can enjoy great-tasting coffee, get to know how to brew it themselves while learning more about their coffee and the stories behind it. We also hope to be a part of bettering Thai coffee beans by helping the local farmers achieve a more substantial return that they deserve, making a name for Thai coffee all over the world.
